Advice for Employers and Recruiters
College Recruiting Bootcamp at LinkedIn Headquarters on May 5, 2014
LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the Internet, and CollegeRecruiter.com, the leading niche job board for college students searching for internships and recent graduates hunting for entry-level jobs and other career opportunities, co-hosted their second annual college recruiting conference on Monday, May 5th at LinkedIn’s corporate headquarters in Mountain View, California.
Are you passionate about attracting the next generation of talent to your organization? If so, you wouldn’t have wanted to miss this chance to mingle with and learn from 200 of your peers who felt EXACTLY the same way. This one-day event right in the heart of Silicon Valley brought together the best and brightest hiring managers, college relations professionals, and other human resource leaders for a day of fast-paced learning, networking, and brainstorming.
No Selling
As was the case for our 2013 College Recruiting Bootcamp, there was absolutely no selling of any kind during the opening keynote, morning presentations, and afternoon panel discussions. There was no exhibit hall and no sponsors. With the exception of the luncheon keynote by LinkedIn, all presenters and attendees were corporate or government recruiting and human resource professionals. No third party recruiters. No career service office professionals. No vendors. Just your peers.
TedX / Ted Talks Format
The College Recruiting Bootcamp featured today’s most innovative thought-leaders in college and university relations. Attendees enjoyed a fast-paced, interactive learning environment as we limited morning presentations to 20 minutes and afternoon panel discussions to 40 minutes. That lightning fast pace forced presenters, panel moderators, and panelists to be razor focused on their topics.
