United States Intelligence Community Voted #4 in Best Places to Work in the Federal Government Survey for Large Agencies

It is important to most of us that we enjoy our work but difficult to know when you’re looking for a job whether we’ll be happier working for one employer versus another. Since 2003, The Partnership for Public Service has awarded federal government agencies voted among the best places to work. For 2014, the fourth best place to work among large agencies was the United States Intelligence Community.

Created in December 1981, the United States Intelligence Community or the I.C. consists of 17 separate government agencies in the United States that work individually and collectively to conduct intelligence activities that are required to handle matters as it relates to foreign relations and national security in the U.S.  The I.C. is made up of intelligence agencies, military intelligence, and civilian intelligence and analysis offices inside federal executive departments.  Its responsibilities involve collecting and producing foreign and domestic intelligence, contributing to military planning, and performing espionage.  Leading the I.C. is the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), who reports to the President of the United States.
