Edelman logoIt is important to most of us that we enjoy our work but difficult to know when you’re looking for a job whether we’ll be happier working for one employer versus another. A great way to know if an employer offers a great place to work is to ask the people who know the organizations best — their employees. For the past seven years, Glassdoor has awarded its Employees’ Choice Awards to honor the 50 best places to work.  For 2015, the 43rd best place to work was Edelman.

Known as is the biggest independently owned public relations firm worldwide, Edelman is named after Daniel Edelman, the founder of the firm.  His son Richard Edelman runs the business, which was originally founded by a group of three people.  Edelman has headquarters in both New York City and Chicago, Illinois and has more than 5,000 workers employed with the company.  Additionally, Edelman became the first PR firm with its own website in 1995 and used it to do web based projects for clients.

Why work at Edelman?  One reason is the people.  Success is achieved through hard work and passion both individually and collectively.  You can also find independence and an entrepreneurial spirit in the workplace.  Employees will be challenged and encouraged to learn from each other.  You can also pursue opportunities abroad as you develop your career path.  It is a win-win scenario, as you can focus on what you like and serve the company’s interest(s).  Edelman appreciates diversity and inclusiveness too.  A diverse workforce offers different points of view, which can produce new ideas that solve people’s problems.  An established environment like this allows everyone to be comfortable and do their best work.

If you are interested in jobs or internships at Edelman, there are career opportunities both locally and internationally.
