Salesforce-com logoIt is important to most of us that we enjoy our work but difficult to know when you’re looking for a job whether we’ll be happier working for one employer versus another. A great way to know if an employer offers a great place to work is to ask the people who know the organizations best — their employees. For the past six years, Glassdoor has awarded its Employees’ Choice Awards to honor the 50 best places to work.  For 2014, the 50th best place to work was Inc.

San Francisco, California is home to the headquarters of Inc.  This global company works in the area of cloud computing and is best known for providing a product that is relevant to customer relationship management (CRM).  Social enterprise has also become another area of interest for Salesforce as a result of the acquisitions the company has made.  In addition to being recognized by Forbes magazine as the most innovative company in America, Salesforce is also ranked number seven by the magazine on its list of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2014.

Why work for Inc.?  One reason is the company culture.  You will get to work with people who are passionate about their jobs and want to solve challenging problems, yet still have fun.  Another reason to work at Salesforce is its foundation.  You can be part of changing the world by giving to others in the community, for example, by volunteering your time.  In addition, the company believes in sustainability.  If you love the environment, you will be glad to know that Salesforce works to reduce the impact of its products on it.

College students and recent graduates can find career opportunities at Inc.  Internships are available to undergraduate and graduate students.  They allow them to work in a professional workplace, participating on important projects with a manager and a mentor to help them.  Co-ops and traineeships are also available to students.  Graduates can be part of Salesforce’s FutureForce program.  They will get to work with a team, innovate with professionals, manage projects, and be given tools, resources, and support that will assist them in getting their careers off to a good start.
