Edelman logoIt is important to most of us that we enjoy our work but difficult to know when you’re looking for a job whether we’ll be happier working for one employer versus another. A great way to know if an employer offers a great place to work is to ask the people who know the organizations best — their employees. For the past six years, Glassdoor has awarded its Employees’ Choice Awards to honor the 50 best places to work.  For 2014, the 12th best place to work was Edelman.

Named after him, Daniel Edelman is the founder of public relations firm, Edelman.  Today, his son Richard Edelman runs the business, which was originally brought into existence by a group of three people.  Headquartered in both New York City and Chicago, Illinois, Edelman has over 4,000 workers and is the biggest independently owned PR firm worldwide.

Why work at Edelman?  One reason is the chance to share an environment where there is a spirit of learning and the opportunity for independence.  Another reason is the chance to work on a global level, with opportunities for employees and the company to succeed.  In addition, Edelman values diversity and being inclusive of all workers, with the idea of creating a comfortable atmosphere so they can be at their best.

If you are interested in jobs or internships at Edelman, there are career opportunities both locally and internationally.
