As an Information Security Associate based in San Antonio, you will join our world-class team of information security professionals tasked with enterprise vulnerability management security testing. The Information security associate will be recently graduated or in their first four years of a promising cybersecurity career and will have a clear drive to learn new skills while working with a fast moving and highly skilled team. You will use state of the art tools to identify, test, and evaluate security controls across applications and infrastructure. The Information Security Associate will work alongside the rest of Capital Group’s vulnerability management team, and participate in delivering critical information security capabilities, including ethical hacking and red team operations.  Responsibilities:
  • Conducts ethical hacking and supports various security testing initiatives
  • Participates in red team cyber security exercises
  • Conducts security research on relevant adversary tactics and attack methods
  • Interact with operational and application teams to interpret assessment results and communicate remediation expectations
  • Assist in collecting metrics and reports for IT Risk Management leadership
  • Stays current on relevant technologies and trends
  • Familiarity with open source testing tools to include NMap, Nessus, Wireshark, Metasploit,  Powershell Empire, Kali Linux
  • Familiarity with ethical hacking and security testing principles
  • Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and the CIS Critical Security Controls
  • Familiarity with various scripting technologies to include Python, Powershell, C#, Java
  • A level of knowledge commensurate with an early stage career in Cyber Security and a drive to keep up-to-date in the following areas: cyber security, vulnerability management, ethical hacking, and security awareness
  • Strong learning agility, with the ability to learn new technologies at a rapid pace
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong technical background, with demonstrable experience in a technical role
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • 1+ years work experience in a cyber-security related field
  • Highly motivated and maintains composure
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • Security +
  • EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • SANS Institute GIAC-PEN
  • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
