Where the Chemistry Happens…

The Global Product Manager is responsible for profitably growing the Kaolin business in both the industrial (coatings, plastics/rubber, wire/cable, construction, automotive, etc.) and paper markets on a global basis.

Formula for Success: You Will…
- Lead development-specific product pricing and positioning strategies to support business strategy.
- Communicate and manage product mix and pricing strategy through our sales team.
- Optimize the profitability of the product mix within asset capabilities.
- Manage customer needs through coordination with EHS, supply chain, and production.
- Support forecasting and S&OP processes.
- Lead global competitive analysis regarding products, customers, and pricing.
- Liaise between sales, legal, customer care, credit, production, and foreign affiliates.
- Interact with technical and sales to identify and pursue new business development opportunities.
- Lead direct and indirect reports.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…
- Bachelor's degree in a business or a technical field required; advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of product managements, sales, marketing, or similar commercial experience.
- Pricing and margin management experience is a plus.
- Understanding of target markets (e.g., coatings, plastics/rubber, wire/cable, construction, automotive) is preferable
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable presenting in front of customers.
- Ability to manage a variety of diverse projects concurrently.
- Capable of working within a team and across functional groups, and regions within a global business.
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time.
