Business Development Specialist

Maintain accurate information in CRM database as it pertains to decision-makers, current contract holders, all service line volumes, providers, systems and other facility changes. Conducts outbound calling and composes/distributes emails for the sole purpose of collecting the most up to date and reliable information as it pertains to Envision Physician Services service lines, including but not limited to (Emergency Services, Hospital Services, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Women & Children Services and Acute Surgery Services).  The purpose of the position is to update and maintain information within the CRM database for new business development.



  1. Proactively call hospitals in specified region to collect and record/enter specific demographic data necessary to identify and target prospects.
  2. Work with Business Development Representatives (BDR) to identify target hospitals that will be the focus of telemarketing, mailings and research efforts to ensure database is proactively updated.
  3. Follow a strategic business plan within region of responsibility outlining specific account targets, tactics, geographies and account importance
  4. Meet or exceed goals for updating records within CRM database
  5. Proven track record of achieving goals and quotas on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis
  6. Develops in-depth understanding of the total marketing process, including the key components of physician staffing and physician practice management
  7. Works effectively with peers, direct reports and upper management in a collaborative effort
  8. Assists in coordination and participation in trade shows
  9. Review information sources (journals, periodicals, internet, media, etc.) on a regular basis to identify trends/changes in the healthcare in general and specific to territory
  10. Local and out of area travel as needed – up to approximately 10%
  11. Read and abide by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
  12. Report any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
  13. Obtain clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so






  • Perform other duties as required.



Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field.  Strong phone and computer skills with the ability to clearly articulate Envision’s services during a business call. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

with CRM software knowledge and experience. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.


In addition, must have the following experience:


  • Adept at working in a fast paced, urgent, lively atmosphere

  • Effective at listening and identifying prospects buying signs
  • Proficient with Internet Search Engines
