Inside Sales Administrator

GBC Metals, LLC, doing business as Olin Brass, utilizes more than 60 different copper-based alloys to produce specialized sheet and strip products for a variety of end uses. We have an opportunity for an Inside Sales Administrator at our Louisville, Kentucky, office. Purpose of Role Provide administrative support to the Inside Sales Representatives and the Marketing Team. Improve the profitability of our business relationships by effectively implementing the day-to-day transactions within the Marketing Group, while contributing to the achievement of strategic initiatives and objectives.   Core Accountabilities Provide administrative support to the Inside Sales and Marketing Operations teams including, but not limited to, order entry, order verification, filing, debit/credit entry, inquiry submission, reporting, invoicing and vacation coverage.Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the information systems used to execute and manage sales transactions (order entry system, credit memo system, inquiry entry system, etc.).Prioritize activities to provide maximum benefit to Inside Sales and Marketing Operations.Consistently and efficiently enter accurate orders relative to customers' instructions and corporate guidelines. Expect accuracy of 99.8 to 100 percent.Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and all levels of the organization.Identify continuous improvement opportunities associated with Marketing processes.Participate in established training programs as designated by supervisory staff or identified by the Customer Service Representative as professional development needs, desires and opportunities arise.Anticipate, meet and/or exceed customers' needs in order to maximize customer satisfaction.Promote a strong customer service image to our customers and other Olin Brass divisions, within approved Company guidelines.Answer overload telephone calls in order to satisfy callers' requests before passing to other Inside Sales Representatives.Effectively and professionally communicate monthly, weekly and daily reports internally or externally as required.Demonstrate positive, professional behavior towards work, colleagues and management.Effectively communicate upwards, downwards and laterally within Olin Brass.Perform special projects as needed to aid in the successful operation of the department. Qualifications Two years of customer service, inside sales or equivalent experience required;Bachelor's Degree preferred;Career driven individual with ambition and desire to succeed and grow;Excellent oral and written communication skills required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, with special emphasis on Excel and Access;Strong interpersonal skills;Aptitude for detail and accuracy;Ability to prioritize workload;Must be a team player, willing to help others when needed.
