NTT DATA Services is searching for a Public Sector Senior Cloud Solution Architect/Strategist whose primary responsibility will be to align client requirements and position NTT DATA Services to win new business engagements by leading all technology solutions development.

 

The Senior Cloud Solution Architect, as a technical expert in NTT’s cloud and enterprise portfolio capabilities, will engage in presales conversations with public sector clients.  The candidate will be a dynamic IT professional who excels at leading highly technical conversations with substantial knowledge and experience in design and sales engineering for public (AWS & Azure), private and hybrid cloud, security, network, transformation and managed services.  This role acts in a “CTO” capacity to our potential clients in discussions advising on cloud and enterprise strategies. The position will work closely with sales personnel to support business development for new and existing clients through proactive opportunity identification, proposal development, RFP responses, presentations and workshops.  The Cloud Strategist will provide technical leadership in defining comprehensive solutions that meet clients business needs using the capabilities of NTT DATA Services enterprise and cloud offerings.

 

We are seeking a high impact player with a proven record of developing solutions ranging from project based deliverables to structured, long-term technology outsourcing deals, coupled with broad knowledge that spans a wide range of infrastructure capabilities and their respective cost structures. This includes how these capabilities must be assembled into an operational delivery model that is both financially and technically sound. Must be able to translate client requirements into transformational cloud and enterprise services solutions with a focus on client outcomes.  Leads conversations with client’s technical leadership on cloud and enterprise assess, design, migration and transformation services and performs cloud and enterprise “As Is To Be” workshops with clients. In addition, the solution must have worked on opportunities involving third party consulting companies that advise on outsourcing of information technology. 

 

Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must with an emphasis on sound presentation abilities and proven, demonstrable written skills. This person must have solid executive presence as this role will require frequent contact with executives, internal and on client sites. This includes the ability to immediately establish and manage critical customer relationships at the Executive level, including technical buyers and key project stakeholders. As appropriate, this individual must also be capable of interacting with the client's Board of Directors as well.

 

Must possess a demonstrated track-record of structuring and winning long-term deals in the $10M to $500M range. This includes being able to understand the customer’s challenges to develop a blended-combination of technology and business solutions encompassing financial models, service definitions, service level expectations and timeframes to help them meet their mission. This will be reflected by a background of leadership in the pursuit and closure of multi-year ITO and/or BPO services agreements.

 

Must understand the "numbers" and be able to drill down into the details and make the business case from financial perspective in developing accurate and standardized costing (pricing models) for delivery solutions. This will be supported by "hands-on" experience in managing, interpreting and executing balance sheets. Excellent planning and organizational skills-will bring the ability to respond appropriately to new business cycles across the scope of service offerings.

 

Cloud Specific Required Skills:

An expert with both Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure

Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, containers and server-less technologies

Strong understanding of DevOps, cloud-native, micro services and Infrastructure as Code.

Expertise in security focused network topology design and systems design including virtualization and data center integration/migration will be required

Knowledge of regulatory and compliance programs including, FedRAMP, FISMA NIST 800-53 and SOC 2 Type 2.

Experience with designing and implementing standards-based IT solutions

Certifications with Azure, AWS, Google, Pivotal or VMware

Familiarity with cloud migration, cloud platform management and configuration management tools

Must be willing to travel as business needs dictate.

 

Basic Qualifications: 

Minimum of ten plus (10+) years of progressive / successful consultative solution development experience.  Minimum of three plus (3+) years of experience with enterprise public cloud solutions.  Proven track-record of success in a senior IT position. The preferred experience base will have been gained in cloud solutions with Federal and State & Local customers.
