We are currently recruiting for a Treasury Analyst to join our team in Hickory, NC.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Treasury Analyst of the Corporate Treasury department will be based in the CommScope Corporate Center in Hickory, North Carolina and report to a Treasury Manager.  Primary activities are cash management – including cash accounting, executing, monitoring, reporting and analyzing cash balances and movements, assisting the Treasury Manager in maintaining banking relationships, providing cash management and treasury services to subsidiaries and Company departments, and supporting Treasury department strategic initiatives.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES:

 

Cash Management

 

  • Responsible for periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) cash position and monitoring for accounts and related operations designated by Treasury Manager and Treasury senior management.
  • Responsible for daily cash accounting through a combination of the Treasury Workstation and SAP.
  • Generate and post standard and ad hoc reports for management relating to worldwide cash and investment balances, funding requirements and other information as needed. 
  • Perform electronic funds transfers as directed.
  • Monitor automated cash concentration pools and ZBA structures.
  • Ensure adequate internal control over cash management activities.   
  • Coordinate execution of documents and checklists for bank account openings and closings.
  • Maintain records/lists of bank accounts, including signatories, users and user profiles in online banking systems, bank resolutions and signature cards. 
  • Analyze bank fees and recommend cost savings.
  • Act as liaison between banks and the Treasury department and Company management.

     

    Support to Subsidiaries and Company Operations

     

  • Work with bank personnel and CommScope employees in accounting and/or shared service centers regarding banking matters and treasury-related issues.
  • Perform month-end accounting and book close duties.

     

    Treasury Initiatives and Strategic Projects

     

  • Assist in maintaining bank relationships with the Company’s banks.
  • Perform project-oriented work as directed by the Treasury Manager, Assistant Treasurer and/or VP Treasurer.
  • Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements, such as FBAR.
  • Support development and documentation of standard processes and procedures.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in related curriculum required and 0-2 years’ experience in Treasury or Finance 
  • Strong cash accounting background preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively express ideas using careful listening, tact and candor, in order to effectively interact with banks and other financial institutions as well as internal customer groups.
  • Problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Project management skills with a strong sense of accountability, ownership, and ability to complete projects on-time.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in delivering high quality and professional services and information is of high importance.
  • The ideal candidate would have a high level of proficiency in using any of the following technologies and systems: SAP accounting system, Microsoft Excel (including use of macros and pivot tables), online banking systems and treasury workstations
