Unit Description

Sodexo is looking for an experienced Executive chef to run the culinary program for our brand new 450 seat residential dining hall at University of Vermont.

We have a strong sustainability focus on campus.  Station platforms with individualized production and open kitchen formats.  Education and collaboration teaching kitchen for students and programming related to health and education in the dining hall.   New 698 bed residential hall located above in the center of campus and connected to the library.  High volume 4000 students per day.  Strong HR, leadership and enjoy working with a large culinary team.   Passion for sustainability and health and wellness and commitment to diversity and inclusion.   P&L account with strong focus on safety, systems, and the student experience. 

Position Summary

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training.  Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through executionKey Duties-Executes the culinary function-Customer & Client satisfaction-Manages food & physical safety program.


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree Basic Management Experience - 2 years Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
