Mechanical Electrician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Effectively troubleshoot and repair facility and production mechanical equipment on a daily basis.

 

Effectively troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical control systems and PLCs.

Install new electrical services.

Install new or rebuilt machine parts.

Rebuild failed components.

Support installation of new systems and equipment.

 

OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS:

 

Strong electrical and mechanical experience with an emphasis on electrical skills.

 

Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on PLCs and computer software.

Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency with machine controls and/or 3 phase power systems is a plus.

Read and understand drawings, diagrams, schematics, OEM Manuals, and other manufacturer specifications.

Must be able to work in a team environment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Background: 5 years minimum industrial field experience as an Electrician, preferably in the Pulp, Paper, or Packaging Industry or similar medium manufacturing setting.

 

Must have own tools - industry specific tools supplied.

 

 

Starting pay will range between $22.38/hour to $28.39/hour based upon skill level and service experience. There is also great potential for future promotional opportunities based upon performance and demonstrated skills. Earning potential will be up to $31.50/hour.

 

 

Candidates selected for further processing will be required to complete a computerized battery of tests on job-related skills, a panel interview, background check, drug screen, and pre-employment health assessment.
