Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor



Perform a wide range of administrative and maintenance support activities for the Maintenance department to facilitate the efficient operation of the bakery.



  • Set up, stock and maintain the maintenance shop.
  • Source and purchase of new parts and supplies. Primary purchasing controls
  • Maintain financial control of expenditure and furnish regular reports
  • Maintain the maintenance inventory and cycle counts
  • Maintain the Maintenance Shop and storage spaces
  • Control of delivery dockets, invoices, inventory replenishment orders, etc.
  • Administer and execute work order system including opening and closing work orders, planning work for technicians and mechanics, etc
  • Coordinate with maintenance re: stock withdrawals and requirements for PM
  • Staging of parts requiring repair and arranging the shipping and receiving of these parts
  • Sort preventative maintenance and maintain BRC binder for calibration
  • Resolve maintenance related administrative problems and inquiries
  • Handle requests for maintenance information and data.
  • Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments for Maintenance department/staff
  • Use of SAP and maintenance software packages
  • General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
  • Other duties as required/assigned

  • Must have 2 - 3 years’ of relevant experience in an autoshop or maintenance shop
  • Minimum Grade 12. Technology Diploma preferred
  • Computer literacy in word processor, spreadsheets and database programs essential
  • Knowledge of maintenance software packages and SAP preferred
  • Knowledge of purchasing, maintenance store set up, tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and record keeping
  • Must be able to multi-task, detail oriented and possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able comfortable with manufacturing environment and terminology, able to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written)
