General Summary
Under general supervision, responsible for the global product forecasting for assigned brands. Responsibilities include forecasting, management of rating sessions, acting as a liaison between Brand Management, Sales and New Product Integration, and overseeing the development of Associate Demand Planners.
Essential Functions
Optimize statistical forecast to reduce error and minimize Planner intervention, enabling Planners to focus on small number of SKU’s using exception management
Responsible for detailed forecast for US, Canada, and South America
Manage global SKU forecasts by account, country, and collection
Collaborate with Regional Planners to achieve/surpass forecast accuracy goals
Propose process, master data, and other changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness within Demand Planning
Collaborate with Sales and Brand to review, revise and adapt plans based on market feedback, SKU performance and regional seasonality
Collaborate with Sales & Customer Service to review and adjust key account plans and objectives
Drive unit sales forecast process to ensure budgets are current and revised according to trend
Maintain open communication between Supply Chain, Brand Management, Sales and Product Development
Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills or abilities:
Bachelor’s degree from 4 year accredited college or university or equivalent in experience and training
Three years prior experience in retail and/or wholesale planning
Knowledge of eyewear industry or experience in fashion accessory field
Excellent analytical skills required including the ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract variables
Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction
Experience in SAP/ APO Supply Chain Management systems preferred
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Ability to write and present clear and concise reports
Ability to work with individuals on a global level
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organization skills, detail oriented and ability to multitask
Proven track record of influencing constituents for optimal results
Flexible and able to quickly and effectively change priorities and direction

The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust etc.
