TD Strategy Analytics Engineer

Job Description

As a Data Analytics Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for providing data collection, data analysis, and/or visualization solutions to enable strategic technology scenarios, support business process improvements, and provide general support for the technology strategy group within TD.

You will interact and partner with varying engineering teams within TD, along with external teams (Manufacturing, BU’s, IS, DEG, Procurement, and NVE).    

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Implement and maintain data driven decision making processes

•  Promote a data driven culture

•  Provide quality data solutions that create business value and enable technology strategy team to meet objectives

•  Create metrics to gauge business processes and program management objectives

•  Create and manage metrics dashboards and strategy

•  Identify and share Best Known Methods (BKMs) across departments and sites for project success

•  Work with TD and other functional areas on developing strategic business processes with clear and agreed upon business rules

               •  Perform data analysis and mining to help generate solutions to business problems

               •  Identify potential new data sources that will create new insights to business needs

 

Create data analytics solutions to address business opportunities and value

               •  Maintain an understanding of company and department strategies and goals

               •  Understand the business objectives to develop and establish success criteria metrics

               •  Translate business problems into projects and solutions

               •  Understand business processes (data sources and meaning)

               •  Explore relevant data through visualization and statistical methods  

               •  Write, code, test, and analyze data solutions and applications.

               •  Train customers on using your data solutions and coach/mentor them on data driven decision making

 

Provide communications

               •  Maintain a strong relationship with peer groups and managers in other functional areas

               •  Provide periodic updates based on project criticality

               •  Offer and communicate strategic ideas and thinking to meeting corporate objectives

               •  Build and maintain external and internal relationships to broaden influence and increase learning opportunities

               •  Listen to customers and stakeholders input and feedback, and act to maximize benefit to Micron to meet corporate goals

               •  Keep stakeholders and team members informed on project status, progress, roadblocks, and opportunities

               •  Promote world-wide knowledge sharing and transfer

 

Education:

Required: Bachelors Degree in one of the following:

•  Computer Science      

•  Business

•  Engineering

 

Experience:

2 years experience in any of the following:

•  Semiconductor Industry Related Experience   

 

Qualifications:

               •  Possess strong analytical, mathematical, problem solving skills.             

               •  Capable of extracting data from various sources

               •  Proficient in at least one of Java, Python, Perl, C/C++, SQL, Tableau, Y3, DataNavigator, Teradata SQL, etc.           

               •  Familiar with SharePoint administration & setup          

               •  Passion for data analysis and delivering data solutions to help others make faster data driven decisions     

               •  Possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team

               •  Able to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently          

               •  Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision

               •  Active team participation, demonstrated teamwork, and consensus building skills

               •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

               •  Experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment
