As the Area Manager of Projects, you will manage and provide leadership for the capital project and process resources which support multiple strategic production areas, and function as the single point-of-contact for all projects executed in the assigned areas. This role will manage the execution of the capital budget plan.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success
- Leading and managing a team of Process and Project Engineers, you will drive the development of scopes, estimates, design, and procurement deliverables for construction by collaborating with the Asset Manager and Technology Team Leaders in compliance with the capital plan strategy.
- As a role model, you will enable development of competencies in others needed to implement BASF's strategy, while establishing and supporting a safety culture in which all accidents are preventable.
- Leveraging your educational background in an Engineering discipline combined with your professional experience in capital projects within chemical/petrochemical or related manufacturing environments.
- Successfully engaging across and outside the organization, you will manage and coordinate the activities of BASF site design and construction teams, as well as external engineering resources.
- Your demonstrated ability to effectively organize and manage multiple priorities, while maintaining clear customer focus and communication as priorities change, will be an asset as you work with Operations to align construction activities to outage and turnaround opportunities to ensure no impact to customers and the business.
- Your in-depth knowledge of capital project planning and execution processes will be essential as you will promote a continuous improvement mindset with demonstrated actions in all areas of capital project management and engineering.
