The Harley-Davidson Motor Company York Vehicle Operations is home to final assembly of all Touring and Trike models as well as our limited edition custom motorcycles.

Join our team as an Associate Manufacturing Engineer!

This is what you’ll do:
  • Provide technical support for a variety of machining and assembly processes and equipment.
  • Enhance machining and assembly processes by assuring that parts or assemblies are processed and tooled to meet optimum quality, quantity, and cost requirements.
  • Interface with Work Groups, Quality, Product Engineering and Manufacturing Support Services.
  • Develop cost reduction programs through manufacturing efficiency improvements, schedule attainment and first run capacity.
There are four positions available:
  • Two (2) position will be in the Assembly process area (one position on 1st shift and one position on 3rd shift).
  • Two (2) positions will be in the Fabrication process area (both positions on 3rd shift).

Education Required

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Required
  • Typically requires no previous professional experience

  • Previous experience in a co-op program or intern assignment focused on manufacturing preferred

  • Knowledge of CNC programming, SPC, and Computer Aided Design preferred

  • Familiarity with detail process planning, including specifying speeds, feeds, tooling, fixturing and gaging preferred

  • Practical application of ergonomics preferred

  • Knowledge of machining operations and equipment and with lean/cellular concepts preferred

  • Familiarity with equipment justification and procurement, costing methods and value analysis preferred

  • Familiarity with process control, quality assurance, SPC, process and capability planning preferred
