Job Summary: Seeking a highly qualified doctoral researcher for a postdoctoral research position in the Division of Environmental Genetics/Molecular Toxicology of the Department of Environmental Health, College of Medicine to perform research in gene-environment interactions, specifically studying the in vivo and in vitro effects of exposure to heavy metals on chromatin structure and organization using state-of-the-art approaches to the analysis of 3-dimensional Topologically Associated Chromatin Domains.   


Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree.


Ideal qualifications include having hands-on experience in molecular biology and toxicology techniques.  Preference will be given to individuals who have expertise in handling a mouse colony and preparing chromatin extracts for ATAC.seq, HiChIP, chromatin configuration is essential. A minimum of research training will be provided to integrate an understanding of genetic diversity, epigenetic alterations, gene-expression transcriptomics and high-throughput epigenetic analysis.


This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.
