Under supervision, this position is responsible for performing secretarial/administrative duties to support the work of the appropriate Director, Sr. Director, Executive Director, or Division VP including composing and typing correspondence, report development, meeting coordination, on-boarding, maintenance of confidential documents, cubicle and office set-up, timekeeping, and screening phone calls and visitors. These duties require thorough knowledge of office procedures.

This Administrative Assistant level requires independent judgment and initiative, the ability to work collaboratively and inclusively, assisting in translating strategy into action, applying sound judgment, and generating innovative ideas.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years administrative support experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Independent judgment and strong sense of initiative.
  • PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lotus Notes, and SharePoint.

  • Secretarial certificate from accredited secretarial school.
  • Willingness to develop project management and budget variance skills.
  • Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and software.
  • Flexibility in hours worked Monday-Friday.
