The Manager Reporting - Brand Operations plays a key role in the overall development of and adherence to financial/operational activities on behalf of the Brand Unit. The role will also provide professional guidance and reliable financial stewardship as it relates to the Brand Unit’s campaign activity.  The individual will be responsible for compiling and analyzing information that supports the ongoing financial requirements of the Brand Unit.  In addition, the individual will be required to recommend strategic decisions in support of the Brand Unit’s objectives.


The Manager Reporting - Brand Asset Operations reports directly to the Director, Brand Operations


Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Brand Management teams in the development of campaign budgets and forecasts by providing financial/operational value added expertise and guidance
  • Work with the Brand Management teams to provide consulting on financial issues, exposures and corrective actions
  • Provide meaningful analysis, review and commentary on financial results compared to budget and forecast on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Report on the Brand Unit’s monthly spend, ensuring that the overall forecasted spend remains within the quarterly targets established by each Brand
  • Work with the Brand Management teams to ensure accurate representation of KPI’s related to their respective areas
  • Support and prepare month-end entries and analysis
  • Aid and support in financial modeling to support Brand Management initiatives
  • Prepare monthly campaign spend and other ad hoc reports to various internal stakeholders
  • Ad hoc analysis may be required in support of various business objectives
  • Special projects as assigned



  • Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and other MS office applications
  • Post-secondary education in a business discipline preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in an financial/operational role
  • Working towards accounting designation (CMA, CA, and/or CGA) is an asset
  • Strong problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Service orientation and demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team
  • Efficiency with reporting, root cause analysis, and problem solving skills
  • Experience in systems integration including testing and evaluation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the Brand Management Team
  • Strong time management with the ability to perform multiple tasks and objectives and prioritize effectively to meet timelines
  • Superior written and verbal skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, Oracle Discoverer, and NOETIX an asset
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate and process data to make sound recommendations
  • Solid understanding of financial fundamentals, activity based costing as well as other analysis techniques
  • Takes initiative, and acts as a facilitator for program and project execution
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and determine to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis
