Where the Chemistry Happens…

As a member of the Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for directing the day-to-day maintenance activities and be the point of contact for contractors coming onsite. This includes ensuring work is going as planned and scheduled, and resources are coordinated efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for the safe execution of all work activities accomplished through daily field walks, field audits, and ensuring workers have the safety training required to execute their job. You will communicate regularly across all departments on job status and resolve issues, as well as work daily with the Operations Specialists to manage work priorities and ensure expectations are clearly communicated. You must also be able to manage a budget by making risk-based decisions and managing overtime. Finally, you will be responsible for managing the site backlog and reporting progress against select KPIs.

- Provide overall direction of all maintenance day to day activities including contract work.
- Communicate job status regularly to stakeholders.
- Ensure work order priorities are understood and implemented .
- Serve as point of contact for all maintenance work.
- Coordinate outside resources to assist in job execution.
- Manage maintenance work processes and train others in their use.
- Complete daily field walks to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures.
- Ensure work execution productivity and mange backlog.
- Manage work to minimize cost and maximize safety and productivity.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You have…
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum 7+ years of operational or maintenance experience in a chemical / petrochemical or other similar manufacturing environment required.
- Strong oral, written communication, and listening skills required.
- Experience in executing maintenance work processes required.
- Detailed understanding of equipment and overall plant manufacturing processes, as well as maintenance work processes required.
- Technical competencies around troubleshooting, RCA analysis, general computer skills, work planning, and user knowledge of SAP maintenance functions required.
- Ability to read P&IDs, engineering specifications, and vendor supplied information required.

BASF recognizes institutions of higher education that are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.

This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
