SVP /GM Personalization Solutions

The executive is responsible for defining, developing and delivering the Personalization company strategy for both existing and new customers. The incumbent will be the General Manager of this product line of business with full

P&L responsibility and accountability.The incumbent will be expected to build thought leadership around trends relative to Personalization and to position the company as a leader in Personalization and fulfillment solutions. He/she will be expected to grow and manage the product to a best in class standard.

Managerial P&L responsibility/planning: This position is responsible for the financial development, administration and planning associated with Personalization.  Key responsibilities include: Strategic Financial Planning, P&L administration, talent management and general operational planning.

Revenue Generating Partnerships: This position is responsible for enhancing and implementing a new product platform capable of global service delivery.  Development responsibilities include: gathering channel requirements, setting service definitions, establishing technical project objectives and timelines, managing development budgets and delivering services on time and in budget to meet customer requirements.
Operations / Customer Service Management: This position has oversight for management and administration of Personalization, including the functional teams such as operations, implementation, finance, IT, sales and marketing, HR, etc., to develop processes to expand this offering.    

The peers to this role are the CFO, CHRO, SVP and GM of Prepaid, [email protected] and Seure Card Manufacturing, CIO,  VP of Transformation, and Driector of Marketing as well as our business leaders in Canada and the UK.
This role will manage many resources in a matrix reporting structure.  To that end, it must work closely with its peers and the teams within, Marketing, HR, Finance, Legal and corporate IT to ensure successful implementation and management of ongoing SLAs. 

The functional Peers to this role are accountable for ensuring they have team members either 100% dedicated to Personalization and/or their team has appropriately prioritized their goals to support this product.  The peers will assume accountability for delivering the functional support activities for this product.

Although the employees in the matrix reporting structure above, report direct line to their functional leader, for purposes of Personalization, they take their direction and prioritization from this role.

Strategy and overall business management
• Establish a 3-year strategic roadmap
• Determine annual capital expenditure requirements for executive and board approval
• Establish a P&L for the Personalization product and conduct monthly review of the financials
• Accountable for the delivery of annual financial results.
• Recruit, retain, manage, develop and promote employees to create a best in class organization.
• Identify the supply chain management strategy, strategic partnerships strategy and channel management strategy
• Develop and test a longer term pricing strategy

Market Analysis
• Responsible for ongoing competitive analysis and creating a market strategy (roadmap) from that analysis for CPI Personalization in North America with particular focus in US.
• Identify other market sectors whether in North America that can develop as a result of the analysis and vendor relationship discussed and identified

Product Development and Management 
• Provide leadership to the team on defining the Product Strategy regarding the features required to support the market today and in future necessary to investigate and invest in i.e. Emboss, SMS PIN, Mobile, Fobs and complementary services
 Ultimately responsible for the creation of the roadmap for existing and new Personalization products and strategic business requirements based on customer needs, market analysis (competitiveness) and business strategy.
 Responsible for product development plans, working cross-functionally with CPI Business units globally, IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and Compliance to deliver the Personalization product Roadmap

Sales and Marketing
• Ensure Sales organization receives training and sales marketing support to ensure sales team is fully supported and informed
• Create new customer acquisition strategies in concert with the sales team to drive customer adoption and/or growth
• Monitor and analyze product sales and observe trends and make data-driven decisions to increase product effectiveness, revenues and cost management.
• Provide leadership to Marketing Operations to develop product launch plans, define marketing requirements and ensure key product collateral and sales tools exists, such as product guides, sales presentations etc.

Operations, Implementation and Customer Service
• Ongoing review of Pricing, Sales & Customer Support Strategy and Business Model by key sector
• Provide direct leadership to the client services support and implementation teams ensuring the highest quality level support to our customers, cost-effective management of resources and all SLA’s are achieved.
• Drive and implement changes to structure, operations, management and other resources so as to achieve optimum efficiency and profitability

• Master’s degree in business or related field
• 15+ years of experience in a senior management role, preferably as a General Manager or Operating Officer role managing a multi disciplines and diverse customers
• The qualified executive will have working knowledge and experiences in the payments industry and with large financial institutions, community banks and credit unions, and payment processors.
• Experience in the debit, credit and prepaid payment industry in addition to card personalization, fulfillment, packaging, and mailing services preferred.

• The ability to speak knowledgeably, clearly and persuasively to a diverse range of audiences.
• Strong financial reporting/budget, planning and analysis skills to perform quantitative data analysis;
• Ability to generate innovative approaches and new or improved solutions to business issues.
