POSITION TITLE:   Business Development Representative                                   

REPORTS TO:        VP Business Development

Conducts outbound calling and composes/distributes emails to hospital leaders to market all Envision Physician Services physician practice management service lines, including but not limited to (Emergency Services, Hospital Services, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Women & Children Services and Acute Surgery Services) nationwide.  The purpose of the position is to generate leads for new business development and increase market awareness of Envision’s services. Arrange and coordinate logistics for any appointments for high level decision makers at client prospect facilities.




  1. Meet or exceed goals for scheduling face to face meetings for senior leadership and field business development team with hospital executive management and decision makers
  2. Proven track record of achieving goals and quotas on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis
  3. Maintain daily sales activity through outgoing calls to hospital executives and physician leadership, via telephone and written correspondence to investigate the existing physician staffing model for multiple departments with demographic targets
  4. Develops in-depth understanding of the total marketing process, including the key components of physician staffing and physician practice management
  5. Continually makes effective use of marketing tools to generate appointments with viable prospects.
  6. Works effectively with peers, direct reports and upper management in a collaborative effort through creative cross selling and ongoing team involvement
  7. Assists in coordination and participation in trade shows
  8. Produce a sufficient number of formal leads within assigned territory each month, as determined by Director, Inside Sales to meet business development goals
  9. Review information sources (journals, periodicals, internet, media, etc.) on a regular basis to identify trends/changes in the healthcare in general and specific to territory
  10. Local and out of area travel as needed – up to approximately 10%
  11. Read and abide by the company’s code of conduct, ethics statements, employee handbook(s), policies and procedures and other corporate mandates, including participation in mandatory training programs
  12. Report any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company
  13. Obtain clarification of policy whenever necessary and may use the resources available through the Compliance, Human Resources or Legal Department to do so






  • Perform other duties as required.



Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field.  Strong phone and computer skills with the ability to clearly articulate EmCare’s services during a business call. Experience in database management and/or development and marketing research and statistical analysis preferred. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
