Position Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and availability of hotel related linens in accordance with established standards. They follow all instructions from supervisors to ensure the safety of themselves, guests and other employees. The Laundry Attendant must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the company. 

Job Duties:

  • The ability to follow proper payroll procedures.
  • The ability to sort the food and beverage linen and rooms linen.
  • The ability to operate, wax and clean the ironer.
  • The ability to feed sheets, table linen napkins, pillow cases and huck towels in the ironer. 
  • The ability to fold and catch linen.
  • The ability to fill all requisitions.
  • The ability to report any deficiencies or equipment malfunctions immediately to a supervisor or manager.
  • The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. 
  • The ability to sort and fold towels, hang robes, fold rugs.
  • The ability to shake sheets, table linens and pillow cases.
  • The ability to keep stain/reclaim separate from other loads.
  • The ability to keep work area clean.
  • The ability to identify stained linen and separate.
  • The ability to identify torn linen and separate.
  • The ability to maintain a daily production record and report linen abuse.
  • The ability to be familiar with linen sizes and classifications.
  • The ability to operate the towel folder.
  • Maintain 4 diamond service standards.
  • Provide lateral service wherever is necessary in the hotel.
  • 10’-5’-3’ rule.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor at all times to everyone.
  • Embody mission, vision and values of the hotel daily.

Minimum Qualifications:

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
