Job Details

Our established Arizona law firm is seeking a motivated, compassionate, experienced, and highly organized individual to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assisting with plaintiff litigation matters and taking ownership in the day-to-day management of litigation cases, as well as providing assistance to the Firm's attorneys. We are seeking a full-time Flagstaff resident.

Qualified candidates should be experienced in the following:
  • Managing front-office needs at our new Flagstaff location and providing administrative support, including taking client intake calls as needed;
  • Drafting/filing motions and pleadings in Arizona State, Federal, and Appellate Courts;
  • Answering and drafting discovery and disclosure statements;
  • Preparing deposition notices, as well as organizing, maintaining, and preparing deposition materials, exhibits and summaries;
  • Assisting with mediation statements and the mediation process;
  • Calendaring/docketing litigation deadlines;
  • Communicating with clients about the litigation process in a compassionate and timely manner;
  • Coordinating travel schedules and booking out-of-state depositions;
  • Assisting with expert and lay witness interviews;
  • Organizing and reviewing medical records;
  • Managing attorney referrals and providing reports to attorneys;
  • Performing other client and litigation-related tasks as needed.

The right candidate will take ownership over projects and possess a highlevel of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Multitasking and effective prioritization are critical. Strong written and oral communication skills a must. We are a close team serving disabled clients, so excellent teamwork, compassion, and strong client service skills are also a must.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
  • Paralegal Certificate/degree or degree in legal related studies (required) with Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years litigation experience.
  • Excellent computer knowledge, which includes proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Outlook and Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and court-filing portals (PACER, etc.).
  • Experience in personal injury, complex litigation, insurance bad faith, or ERISA a plus.
