DEPARTMENT/TEAM DESCRIPTION:
Project Leader, RMSC Business Protection & Compliance
POSITION SUMMARY:
- To provide strategic and tactical project leadership to Business Protection & Compliance projects, to be accountable for keeping company Consumer Health's products compliant and on shelf and to be proactive with formula changes and/or regulatory amendments wherever needed Scope (global, regional or local): Global
- Provide strategic and tactical project leadership to keep BCH production shelf and compliant
- Assists in integration of inputs from various regulatory, manufacturing, quality and PR issues affecting BCH formulations; assists with development, implementation and management of prioritization and governance mechanisms
- Proactively increase organizational awareness and drive towards alignment on Business Protection risks relating to ingredient and regulatory trends
- Take over project management leadership of all reformulations and development work necessary to bring products in question back into compliance
- Take full responsibility for keeping assigned products on shelf globally. Lead across geographic and functional boundaries without line reporting (across Medical, Regulatory, Product Supply and Quality organizations)
- Have access and oversight to all maintenance activities across the
- organization, even in areas outside of R&D (e.g. Product Support/QA, Regulatory)
Key Working Relation:
- Internal: Product Supply, QA/QC, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs
- Procurement, Government Affairs, Marketing, Development Centers
- External: CROs for Formulation Development, Analytical Development etc.

- Bachelors Degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum of seven years of proven experience, a Masters Degree (or international equivalent) with a minimum of five years of proven experience, or a Ph.D. (or international equivalent) with a minimum of three years of
- proven experience.
- Degree required in engineering, chemistry, biology or pharmacy.
- In depth and broad understanding of the product development process
- Demonstrated leadership experience in R&D/product development in the pharmaceutical, OTC or Personal Care industry
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
- Is adaptable and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast paced environment
- Is resourceful and has a strong bias towards action, finds creative solutions and implements new methods
- Builds connections - Robust internal and external network, able to get results through various partners without direct managerial control
- PMP Certification, Strong experimental design and drug development background
