Systems Engineer - DeltaV


The Systems Engineer will work in a team environment with life science and pharmaceutical customers to assist in defining user and functional requirements and assist with the design, configuration, commissioning and qualification of GAMP control systems, software programs, electronic circuitry or packaging for products and systems.

Description of Work:

Work in team environment with engineers and designers from partners and clients to provide state of the art Control Systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing.

Develop Life Cycle documents per GAMP standards as well as Electrical panels, Control Architecture and wiring drawings

Interpret and redline P&ID documentation for process clients

Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) / ladder logic, distributed control system (DCS) configuration.

Testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems

Support of process control clients at multiple sites in and around the Boston area

May grow into position leading team of engineers and technicians to provide control system solutions for clients
Qualifications:

Self-motivated, excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with people

B.S. in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering or Engineering Technology

Industry or Co-op experience highly recommended
Job Knowledge Desired:

Electrical design fundamentals

Familiarity with Controllers, such as single loop control, PLC, DCS or PC based control

Exposure to Control Theory

Some process understanding is helpful but not required
Ideal Candidates Control System Knowledge:

Platforms: Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Emerson DeltaV

Process Control Fundamentals

Process Understanding of batch or continuous process control, combustion control, etc

Awareness of process safety, validation, and good documentation practices
