Classification: Payroll Manager
Compensation: $71.25 to $82.50 hourly
This Interim Payroll Manager role will oversee all of our payroll operations, including vendor management, systems, and processes & integration. You will also manage creating timely, accurate, and compliant payrolls, making improvements to currently existing processes, and creating exceptional customer experiences. Your responsibilities in this role
- Starting and growing a strong and successful team
- Accomplish goals with other members of senior Finance leadership team
- Partner with other areas in Finance, as well as Human Resources, Tax, IT, and other departments as necessary for reporting, compliance and strategic analysis
- Manage payroll staff and operations
- Suggest, lead, and work on projects to review and enhance current processes
- Keep an eye on all internal and external audits
- Oversee pre- and post-payroll auditing/reconciling procedures and troubleshoot anomalies
- Maintain internal safeguards by taking charge of record keeping and control systems
- Perform payroll analysis, as required
- Produce all weekly, monthly, and special compensation payroll runs, in addition to explaining pay policies (LOA, disability, worker's compensation, vacation, bonus, etc.) and ensuring proper amounts/deductions are applied to earnings codes in compliance with all local, state, and federal laws
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives and cross-functional business leaders
