Overview

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Plant Engineer is g a highly skilledposition with a strong focus on controls. The Plant Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the operational efficiency of our plant equipment, particularly the control systems that govern our manufacturing processes.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as Project Manager and key contact for all plant major projects
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance for all required Environmental permitting and requirements
  • Applies sound engineering standards to ensure the plant operation is able to deliver the highest level of quality at the lowest cost while protecting the health & safety of all associates
  • Updates & develops engineering drawings and standards for plant operations
  • Develops bid packages and contracts with 3rd party services in support of plant operations
  • Responsible for development and implementation of Plant Computerized Preventive Maintenance Program for all Plant Facility Assets & Equipment
  • Responsible for development and implementation of Plant Predictive Maintenance Programs not limited to: Vibration, Oil Analysis, Ultrasonic and Infa Red Inspection for all Plant Facility Assets & Equipment
  • Lead energy efficiency improvement programs
  • Leads the development and testing of equipment installations & refurbishment to support mold improvements to help improve operating window, control bottle integrity and help maintain on-going bottle quality
  • Prepares appropriation request for funding documents & manages those projects to completion
  • Audits facilities & assets for variances to standards
  • Process Expert for all plant support equipment
  • Plant trainer for all high level activities surrounding the plant support equipment
  • Acts as the lead for all new products and processes executed at the plant
  • Interfacing with operators, team leaders, and supervisors for successful implementation and execution of projects
  • Ensuring the necessary knowledge owner inputs are solicited for process involvement and problem solving activities including: technical resources, production resources, and quality department resources
  • Lead kaizen events, problem solving, and autonomous maintenance activities
  • Respond appropriately to help chain calls
  • Lead cross-functional (and cross-plant, when necessary) teams to implement process-related problem solving initiatives within the plant
  • Network with colleagues across business units and functions to leverage their expertise and experience in driving rapid problem resolution
  • Drive operational excellence implementation using the proper tools (lean, TPM, six sigma) at the plant level
  • Provide analytical support to continuously identify gaps, project opportunities, and solutions
  • Identify opportunities to integratecontinuous improvementinto the day to day operations of the site
  • Share best practices with other plants and teams, and drive read-across benefits
  • Support goal of total employee involvement in continuous improvement activities through training and customer complaint resolution
  • Strong understanding of control systems design and implementation



Qualifications

Educational Requirements: BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Strong experience with Microsoft Applications such as Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Project

Prior experience with AudoCad

Prior Experience: Two years in a Plant Maintenance Manager role involving processing equipment, or facilities equipment.

Desired Experience: Two years in Plastics Process Manufacturing Environment

Experience with SAP

Strong understanding of Controls Systems (design & implementation)



Compensation Statement

The expected salary range for the position described in this posting is made in accordance with the legal mandates of certain jurisdictions within the United States. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
