Our client based out in Noble Park are a full-service reinforcing supplier to tier 1 builders and mega infrastructure projects across Australia. Supplying quality, innovative solutions from prefabricated reinforcing to patented high strength steel. About The Role The employee they are currently looking for is for an Day Shift Production Supervisor. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective manufacture of reinforcing bar and prefabrication through the overall supervision, coordination and engagement The shift times would vary between 6am - 2pm or 7am - 3pm What Is In It For You Quarterly Incentive Program Employee Recognition Program Long Service Leave after 5 years Employee Assistance Program On site Car Parking Additional Training's ( paid for courses/tickets) Your Responsibilities Will Include Ensuring that the daily plan is adhered to and delivered on time and in full Managing costs to ensure delivery is met in the most cost-effective manner Allocating appropriate manning and ensuring employees are trained, fit, qualified and competent to effectively run operations Ensure the operation is working in adherence with site safety policies, procedures and critical elements. Managing 2 separate sections of the site with up to 40 staff members in total About Your Experience You will be an autonomous and driven leader, with a background in heavy industry or manufacturing. You will be highly skilled in building strong internal and external relationships, responding to frequent changes in priorities and a solution-oriented mindset. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have Extensive experience supervising or managing a large team in a manufacturing environment A high level of problem solving, conflict resolution and people management skills, ideally with experience doing so in a unionised environment (advantageous ) Ability to guide, manage and influence good behaviors within your team Coordinating and delegating staff and allocate if required Solid understanding of safety management systems and building the safety culture Ability to use computer systems including Microsoft suite and customer order systems A Safety Focused Mindset Investigate, document and report on system interface issues between Experience in the steel reinforcing sector would be highly regarded but not essential.
