The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing sales opportunities within a defined Territory, joint Business Development and support with selected Distributors for Hospitality, Ware Washing, and Laundry Customers, and Management and development of specified Key Accounts or Customers. This position is a key sales development position focusing on the Hospitality Sector and defined Machine Ware Washing Housekeeping and On Premise Laundry opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sell and develop Regional Management Groups and Large Local Accounts, as well as implement key International Contracts including Franchise network, utilizing Sector Customer Value Propositions to realize significant profitable value for Diversey whilst ensuring strong Customer value and partnership.
- This position must comfortably interface with high-level key decision makers within the Customers Headquarters, as well as Customer Regional & Local Operational Management. The role also requires regular interfaces with North American Cross-Functional Management and Global & Regional Account Management within Diversey.
- Accountable for developing Joint Business Planning within defined Customers and prospects, plans will provide strong added value to Customers and identify Sector innovation & Customer solution opportunities.
- Implement accounts sold successfully, including but not limited to, account setup, training, demand planning, and Customer Relationship Management.
- Managing an active Business Development Sales Funnel via “OnDemand” CRM system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of sales management experience
- 3+ years in B2B Business Development role (preferably selling Ware Wash and Laundry solutions)
- Valid US Driver’s License
- Ability to travel up to 30%
- Proven Business Development experience acquiring & managing complex customers & delivering results
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate at Decision Maker level of organizations, along with the ability to sell at the operational level
- Experience with strategic business planning
- Demonstrated ability to work with teammates, both direct & indirect, and internal support functional teams
- Ability to manage customers and internal relations at all levels (CEO to operational management)
- Business strategy and financial acumen
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Industry trade certifications & qualifications recommended
SALARY & BENEFITS:
The current pay range for this position is $75,000 to $136,000. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon, but may not be limited to, the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.
For 2023, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) in accordance with the plan document.
