Description
NextCorps is a non-profit that helps technology-oriented entrepreneurs launch and grow successful startups, and established companies grow their revenues and profitability. NextCorps manages and delivers a number of different programs, including early-stage technology commercialization, business incubation and accelerators, curriculum-based boot camps, and consulting services for manufacturing related projects.
The Marketing & Content Coordinator will support the marketing team’s following objectives:
- Build the organization’s brand and reputation in the markets it serves
- Create awareness of programs and events with targeted audiences
- Generate leads for programs and services, and support lead conversion efforts
- Collect data on impact of digital marketing activities
The marketing coordinator will work with NextCorps’ marketing staff to deliver integrated marketing activities for the organization. This is an entry-level position. Key responsibilities include:
- Write concise, engaging content and create graphics for NextCorps and program websites, social media, newsletters, and other digital channels, per an established editorial calendar
Support monthly newsletters for NextCorps and programs:
- Help with the newsletter build-out, including on-site and in Constant Contact/ MailChimp
- Help develop, scrub, and manage distribution lists
Support event needs for NextCorps and programs:
- Create registration pages and companion digital marketing content (e.g. email blasts, social posts, etc.) to aid in event promotion
- Assist with managing virtual lunch & learns and webinars (e.g., coordinating speaker schedules, packaging recordings and presentations for registrant follow-up)
- Participate in occasional in-person events and support set-up, attendee check-in, food management, breakdown, etc
Provide website quality assurance for NextCorps and programs:
- Conduct site audits to ensure pages and links are working, update calendars to reflect community events, and assist with SEO efforts (e.g. adding meta descriptions and tags)
- Collaborate with team on review of Google Analytics and digital performance
Report regularly to marketing managers and marketing director about status of assigned activities
Explore and test media/channels to tap into new groups of tech innovators to support programming (ChatGPT, Discord, Reddit, Slack, TikTok, Instagram reels, etc.)
Requirements:
Qualifications
-Solid writing and communications skills
-Experience with:
- LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube; LinkedIn Advertising
- Google Docs Editors, Microsoft Suite
-Familiarity with (preferred but not required):
- Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphics programs
- Constant Contact or MailChimp
- Eventbrite
- Zoom webinars
- WordPress ○ Square Space
- Basic CSS and HTML
-Proven ability to work independently to start and complete tasks
-Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
-Interest in entrepreneurship, technology innovation, and economic development
