Personify, a nationally recognized and awarded recruiting firm, is hiring a Periop Performance Improvement Coordinator in Specialty Care for our client, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, based in Johnson City, NY.

Experienced candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.

Position Overview

  • The Performance Improvement Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting of the Performance Improvement/Quality Improvement and Safety programs and practices in Surgical Services/ Operating Rooms. Designs and implements methods to continuously improve clinical outcomes and compliance with evidence-based guidelines, regulations, and professional standards of care. Educates staff and physicians on PI Plan; and develops activities. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration with Quality Management Department, Surgical Service leadership, medical staff and other interdisciplinary teams committed to patient care excellence, prevention of adverse events, and positive patient outcomes.

Position Requirements

  • Education/Experience
    • Minimum Required:
      • BSN or evidence of planned completion in 2 years
      • Three years clinical experience
    • Preferred:
      • Master's Degree
      • Previous experience related to safety and quality management principles
  • License/Certification
    • Minimum Required:
      • Current RN licensure in New York State
      • CPR within 3 months of hire
