Title:Associate Technician, Regulatory Science
Location: Portage, MI
Start date:ASAP

Our client is looking for the following:
Responsibilities:

  • Perform preparation and testing involving cleaning, disinfection, sterility or analytical chemistry.

  • Detailed documentation of samples, media, reagents and supplies is essential.

  • Preparation of glassware, media, reagents and testing supplies.

  • Careful execution of test protocols.

  • Safe handling of hazardous biological and chemical reagents.

  • Perform and document routine checks.

  • Provide informational support during investigations.

  • Analyzing and reporting test results.

  • Documentation following 21 CFR Part 11 (Good Documentation Practices).

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds or force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

  • Must be able to review printed and handwritten materials. • Must be able to communicate using multiple modalities.

  • Must be able to keep a steady hand and operate precise instruments.

  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, superior organizational and planning skills.

  • Must be a self-starter, able to handle confidential matters, demonstrate initiative, possess attention to detail, have strong follow-up skills.

  • Must be able to follow written procedures and protocols.


With the following credentials:
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency or Associates degree/certificate in a scientific discipline required.

  • 0-1 year(s) relevant technical or educational experience.

  • Those with additional technical experience encouraged to apply.

  • Computer competency

  • Ability to operate common lab equipment (pipettes, scales, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of basic Laboratory techniques (chemistry/biology)

  • Basic math and technical writing skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
