Description

Tygart is currently seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager to support a DOJ component. The candidate will be part of a team, collaborating closely with the government staff, leading the development of solutions to meet the needs of business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong business analytical background. This position requires that the candidate have a current Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop templates and IT control documentation (workflow/code application documentation, security documents, CONOPS, help guides, job aids and user guides, architecture and workflow diagrams, system/hardware/software requirements specifications, and system designs).

  • Perform quality reviews of these project products / documents as they are created.

  • Lead internal and external (customer and stakeholder group) IT solution testing to include coordination, documentation, and resolution of identified issues.

  • Ensure appropriate work-load balance amongst personnel - tracking tasks, providing metrics/status updates and aggregated reporting.

  • Closely monitor IT tasks and schedules, maintain project management data, manage project life cycle documentation, and ensure processes, code, and other IT documentation are codified and centrally stored to ensure continuity of operations

  • Lead the InfoPath Rebuild Project and any other large scale rebuild, migration, or technology evaluation effort. These efforts may be complex and time sensitive and shall require management through formalized lifecycle methods with little oversight. Ensure mitigation plans and workarounds are put in place as required and minimize the impact on customers.

  • Work with the IT developers to evaluate customer business requirements and recommend how to apply integrated IT solutions to meet customer business needs (including SharePoint and other available IT technologies) and ensure the right complement of IT contract support is available to perform work and deliver value.

  • Liaison with external groups and stakeholders to represent business needs and gain the information necessary to move forward on project milestones and deliverables

  • Work with the IT developers to evaluate customer business requirements and recommend how to apply integrated IT solutions to meet customer business needs (including SharePoint and other available IT technologies) and ensure the right complement of IT contract support is available to perform work and deliver value.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in collecting, analyzing, implementing IT engineering to meet the communication and data management needs of the business processes.

  • Provide technical leadership and assessing, identifying, recommending, and implementing services in support of mission needs.




Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or other related analytical disciplines.

  • 10 years’ total project management experience managing projects

  • Eight (8) years’ experience managing IT projects to include experience managing IT efforts requiring the integration of different technologies.

  • Five (5) years of experience in the analysis of abstract data and the formation of that data into discrete findings using excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Experience articulating findings into written report formats, providing guidance, expertise, and recommendations in executive level meetings, performing research/analysis and bringing abstract

  • information into a cohesive message.

  • Experience with various project management methodologies, such as Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.

  • Industry certifications demonstrating high level knowledge of IT functional areas.

  • Experience working in, or supporting environments using the following technologies: SharePoint, Power Platform, Tableau, Azure cloud, Hyper-V, Javascript, Angular

  • Must be able to work well under pressure, possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have excellent organizational skills.

  • Experience supporting law enforcement / intelligence agencies with a global presence is highly desired.
