OVERVIEW Amazon Logistics is seeking a Financial Manager to join the team for a 1 year mission within our European Operations Finance team. This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to new initiatives, will require strategic thinking, and will provide a tremendous opportunity for interactions with Directors and VP's within both Operations and Finance. You will leverage your educational and applied work experience to develop strategic analytics, develop processes around planning/reporting, lead business critical projects, as well as identify investment and cost savings opportunities within the network. Key job responsibilities Build financial analysis models driving operational decisions across the Amazon Logistics network focusing on its expansion strategy Lead strategic projects to streamline the tracking and forecasting of financials across the EU network Earn trust of business partners to influence and drive process improvements and cost savings initiatives Identify risks, evaluate impact, propose changes, and implement improvements to enhance processes Partner with regional and site leadership to influence and improve financial and operational performance This is a 12 month replacement contract. GRUNDQUALIFIKATIONEN BA/BS degree required, MBA/MS preferred, CPA/CFA a plus Strong PC modeling skills Strong technical background including Excel, Cognos, SQL, or any other relevant modeling/reporting languages and tools (eg. Tableau) Fluent in English, working knowledge of German a plus BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONENPreferred Qualifications Experience in the job offered or related occupation must involve performing financial and ad hoc analyses using advanced Excel and providing recommendations based on results of ad hoc analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making Excellent communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and levels of management Strong financial acumen including familiarity with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
