Job Summary:

The Manager, Infrastructure Technology will play a key role in administration and operational aspects of infrastructure environments along with collaborating with the technology teams to support both, “build the bank” and “run the bank” initiatives.

Primary Accountabilities:

Technology Operations:

  • Provide leadership and act as an SME to the infrastructure engineering and other technology teams.
  • Ownership of all aspects of infrastructure systems/platforms and their lifecycle. Including designing, sizing, staging, installing, implementing, configuring, troubleshooting, maintaining, administrating, and managing.
  • Be knowledgeable of Information system best practices, regulations, policies, and standards. Adopt new practices, tools, and techniques as applicable.
  • Lead incident and change management principles to diagnose and resolves complex technology issues.
  • Promote and maintain the necessary documentation of all systems, modifications, and support processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure such as backups, patch management, vulnerability management and upgrades.

Projects & Initiatives:

  • Liaise with cross organization technology, project, and business teams to deliver solutions in line with organization goals and objectives.
  • Technical lead for various projects pertaining to upgrades, transformation, and modernization.
  • Contribute to requirements gathering and gap analysis efforts to produce meaningful recommendations.
  • Responsible for executing information security initiatives for the technology environment.
  • Promote and transition to automation via orchestration tools, software defined methodology and scripting as appropriate.

Governance, Risk and Compliance:

  • Participate in technology audit, risk assessment and compliance activities such as evidence gathering and remediation.
  • Produce standard reports and actionable KPIs on the state environment including incidents, capacity, performance, and trending.
  • Ensure all support agreements are reviewed and provide recommendations pertaining to their renewals and negotiation of terms.

Technical Skills:

  • Possess working knowledge of the technologies deployed at Canada Branch to be able to lead and participate in planning, design activities, implementation and troubleshooting activities.
  • Including, but not limited to Cisco UCS, NetApp Storage, VMware vSphere, AWS Cloud, M365, Cisco Networking, Windows Server OS, Microsoft SQL and standard corporate server applications
  • Working knowledge of automation & scripting using PowerShell, PowerAutomate, Python, Puppet, etc.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in successful deployment and support of relevant IT infrastructure
  • Demonstrated skills in developing and implementing information security policies and practices into technology operations and lifecycle
  • Self-directing individual demonstrating teamwork, organization skills and well-structured working approach given multiple priorities.
  • Experience working in a small and large team structures while managing enterprise, organizational and department level objectives
  • Experience working with multiple project teams (business, IT application and infrastructure teams)

Education & Training:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related disciplines
  • CCNA/VCP/MCSE/ITIL/AWS Certification industry certifications or equivalent training are preferred

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid, 3-4 days in the office. Local travel only
