JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for overall Fleet Administrator activities, including maintaining fleet logs, files and tracking
fleet vehicles for the branch. Some light mechanical duties are involved in maintaining the fleet as needed at the branch level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Comply with all quality, safety, health, environmental requirements, policies, and procedures relevant to the position
- Track and facilitate company vehicle maintenance inspections for all vehicles
- Assist the Fleet Manager by keeping vehicles compliant per company policies, DOT, local, state, and federal laws
- Assist in DOT/HSE-related projects
- Inspect Field Service Technician Vehicles to ensure they are clean and maintained
- Manage with the guidance of Fleet Manager the assignment of local vehicles
- Responsible for the care of any fleet vehicles not assigned at the branch location
- Communication vehicle issues to Fleet Manager immediately for resolution
- Assist in diagnostics and maintenance of vehicles with the support of Fleet Manager
- Compile and prepare reports and documents about safety and compliance activities
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Department of Transportation or Fleet administration
- Automotive maintenance and repair skills
- Solid computer skills, including MS Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
