Responsibilities


This is a contingent position based upon customer approval.


As a SkyePoint employee you will be given the opportunity to support some of our nation’s most critical information systems by utilizing not only your existing cybersecurity skills and talents, but those that you will learn in your new role. In your new role as a cyber security professional, you will protect our customer’s most sensitive data and complex systems from all forms of threats including cyber-attacks, insider threats, rogue network devices, and malicious software and applications. You will work with a team of like-minded professionals to share and collaborate upon your ideas to improve the cybersecurity infrastructure, architecture, and configuration deployments. Your ideas and contributions will matter.


Qualifications


Qualified candidate will become part of the Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes.  The DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate.  This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats.  Those supporting the DSCM program strive to leverage their expert knowledge and propose creative solutions to real-world cybersecurity challenges. Based in Rosslyn, VA.  This role supports the Operational Threats and Analysis (OTA) team.    


Position Description:



  • OTA audits the Department’s network infrastructure looking for anomalous behaviors indicative of malicious insider threats.

  • OTA processes are based on industry best practices, Executive Order 13587, Intelligence Community Standards 500-27 & 700-2, and the Committee on National Security Systems Directives (CNSSD) 504 and any superseding documents.

  • OTA also provides technical support to investigations and inquiries conducted by the Department’s counterintelligence, law enforcement, and administrative programs.

  • This support includes digital evidence acquisition, user activity monitoring, and technical investigative analysis.  


Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:



  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related technical experience required. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

  • Active Top Secret security clearance required.

  • Possess CAP, CASP+, CCISO, CISM, CISSP, GSLC or equivalent certification.

  • Shows aptitude for providing analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic and targeted vulnerability.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensuring maximum operations.

  • Proficiency in collecting data via a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes.
