Summary of Job Duties:
The Teaching Assistant, Associate, or Full professor is a non-tenure track faculty appointment in the Department of Industrial Engineering in the Engineering Management Graduate Program.The job duties for this position will include all aspects of teaching graduate and undergraduate pre-requisite courses online, live, and hybrid modalities. Specific position duties for this position include designing courses as requested, providing curriculum material, constructing syllabi, leading class instruction, writing and administering exams, advising and evaluating students, serving on various faculty committees, serving on comprehensive examination panels and student-oriented committees, and exhibiting participation and leadership in related professional societies. Instruction may be from remote locations, at a satellite campus, or at the Fayetteville Campus. The professor may teach executive education or workforce development courses.
This position will teach online courses and will work remotely in conjunction with the University of Arkansas Policy on Flexible Work Arrangements including Remote Work.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. in engineering management, industrial engineering, operations management, operations research or closely related field conferred by the start of employment
ABET accredited in engineering degree
Qualify for a faculty appointment to teach both Engineering Management and Operations Management courses
Potential for teaching high-quality online courses, teaching a variety of graduate courses, and providing appropriate service to the department, university, and profession
At least 10 years of industry, consulting, military, or government experience in a related field. Excellent communication skills
Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
Scholarly presentations and/or publications in Engineering Management or related fields
At least three years online course development and instruction in higher education with platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems ( LMS )
Relocation to the Fayetteville Campus

Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act)
The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act was passed in 1990 and was amended in 1998 to form the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This law requires that certain institutions of higher education distribute to all current students and employees a copy of the required report, and to all prospective students and employees a summary of what is contained in the yearly report. The report is available on the Internet and may be downloaded and printed with Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher software.
