What We Are Looking For

The Account Executive is responsible for promoting company product or services and achieving quota. They develop the ability to acquire new accounts, maintain business at legacy accounts, and have a clear understanding of the business process. The Account Executive builds relationships and executes the commercial process within the partner ecosystem. They work independently and look to the manager to help with coaching to strengthen position in an account, leverage for higher level meetings, and provide insight into new accounts that should be penetrated.

What You Will Do

  • Continuously scan for prospects to achieve new growth, expand offerings within the account, and populate account pipeline; priority is to find accounts that meet the customer profile and provide repeatable profitable business
  • Assess clients, including balance sheet and business health to determine the feasibility of partnering
  • Identify and align required resources for pursuit and future solution deployment, and determine scope and nature of the opportunity to determine feasibility in pursuing the deal
  • Ensure that product or service value propositions align and resolve customer needs, provide on-demand consultative advice, check the accuracy and utility of recommendations, and avoid making inaccurate statements
  • Be the primary client liaison and manage all aspects of the growth process including building awareness of products and solutions
  • Position value propositions to meet customer needs and end-user business priorities, communicate key competitive advantages, work with others to ensure appropriate pricing, and manage the milestones essential for timely proposal delivery
  • Secure preference for company products and drive customer mindsets from products to solutions
  • Capitalize on early wins and customer satisfaction to expand business within the account or by introducing relevant Panduit account management teams
  • Develop strategies and plans for managing account pursuit activities
  • Prioritize and coordinate opportunity pursuit across multiple accounts to maintain a healthy commercial funnel
  • Develop, communicate, and monitor growth forecasts to ensure accuracy
  • Expand account penetration by building strong relationships and leveraging them to achieve exposure to business planning
  • Ensure that all generated business is referred to chosen partners and this referred business is leveraged either directly or indirectly through the channel accounts to improve discretionary business through the channel
  • Provide input to organizational planning, set priorities and expectations, and identify and addresses opportunities and resource gaps

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of inside/outside account management experience
  • Ability to understand products/solutions within each business unit and key market specific competitors
  • Exposure to the account dealing with entry level business influencers
  • Basic understanding of the organizational strategy and the value of the partner programs
  • Ability to learn deal management and negotiation techniques
