SUMMARY
To plan, organize and manage the resources of the El Paso Distribution Warehouse, Including human resources, order preparation, and inventory flow to meet Customer Service and Efficiency objectives, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Finished Goods inventories and Customer orders flow, to maintain high levels of Customer line fill measures and reasonable labor costs.
- Analyze and convert Customer requirements into shipping requirements plans
- Provide proactive and reactive customer contact when necessary, to manage customer relationships
- Develop, implement, and train personnel as needed in departmental procedures
- Ensure compliance to the Company Quality System and Customer specific shipping requirements.
- Maintain a high level of Safety standards and Building security
- Calculate Equipment requirements and maintenance schedules
- Organize staff, manage work load, and assign responsibilities-in accordance with organizational chart and job descriptions.
- Provide the required resources and training needed in order for El Paso personnel to do their job efficiently.
- Supervise shipping and receiving daily activities and/or implement corrective action and guidance to staff.
- Understand basic DOT guidelines and common carriers operating processes, including use of UPS & Fed-Ex, and International Shipment requirements
- Keep El Paso-Juarez staff informed of most relevant activities and projects in the organization
- Provide application assistance to and answer technical questions from customers.
- Perform Inventory verification through regular cycle-counting process and on Scheduled Periodical Review Inventory (Physical Inventory)
- Works with the Plants on Continuous improvement ideas, to implement & standardize best practices
- Maintain effective warehouse housekeeping practices in place
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by his/her Management
Qualifications
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the El Paso Warehouse Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing, and Support personnel. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
An appropriate Associates degree (A.A) and 3-year experience in a warehousing or similar production planning environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bilingual English-Spanish preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and applicable federal and state laws. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Supervisory / Leadership abilities
Good communicator and able to work with people and different personalities
Basic training in OSHA requirements and regulations.
