Catalent Pharma Solutions in Philadelphia, PA is hiring a Distribution Coordinator in the Fast-chain group. This position is responsible for the scheduling, processing, and auditing of clinical supply orders based on client request.

This is a full-time role position: 2nd shift Mon-Thurs 12-10:30pm.

This 206,878 square-foot facility, located in the Philadelphia area is Catalent’s global Center of Excellence for Clinical Supply Packaging. Catalent offers GMP secondary packaging and clinical labeling services throughout our global network. Packaging can be configured to hold a single product or multiple products as determined by study requirements. We offer manual patient kit assembly along with semi-automated and automated wallet sealing and high-speed automated carding to meet the needs of studies of all sizes. For temperature sensitive products and those with minimal to zero allowable time out of environment, we can perform secondary packaging in refrigerated and frozen packaging rooms or over dry ice depending upon your project needs. Using our Clinicopia global labeling system with its multi-lingual label phrase library we can design single panel, booklet labels or our unique Peel-ID™ safe storage labels for your studies. Single panel and Peel-ID™ safe storage labels can be conveniently reviewed and approved online via our Fusion portal before being printed and inspected at our facilities.

The Role:

  • Coordinate and dispatch shipments of clinical trial material to clinical sites. Process orders, assemble folders (on-site and offshore generated). Ensure orders are processed and dispatched based on agreed turnaround time.
  • Audit folders for accuracy against customer requests and source documentation. Run reports to understand and coordinate workflow based on daily and weekly outlooks
  • Responsible for 95% completion of work to floor the day before and adhere to shift processing expectations set by supervisor.
  • Coordinate with Distribution Project Coordinators and support issues resolution solutioning. Maintain distribution group mailboxes and ensure shipments are scheduled accordingly. Support distribution execution group to resolve operational and document related issues.
  • Work with Quality, IT, Inventory, and other supply chain functions to resolve issues regarding order processing.
  • Coordinate with Import / Export Coordinator and Distribution Project Coordinator with international order processing and documentation preparation.
  • Understand and use source documentation i.e. Distribution Summary, Distribution Master Checklist in conformance to Catalent Standards.
  • Ensuring that clinical supplies are shipped in compliance with all applicable SOPs and in accordance with the customer approved study specific Distribution Summary Protocol/Checklist. 
  • Acknowledge shipment is dispatched in IVRS when required. Generating shipment documents for the requested Clinical Trial Materials. 
  • Support / Review Commercial (proforma) Invoice templates in conjunction with Distribution Project Coordinators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Candidate:

  • High School Degree required (Associates Degree preferred) with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant industry experience in GMP, logistics, and/or biotech/pharma environment.
  • Required to have a high-level attention to detail while managing multiple projects and/or priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills are required – (including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel)
  • Distribution and Supply Chain experience is preferred – preferred experience using: FusionConnect, JD Edwards, Microsoft products, SupplyFlex, PowerBI
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to understand and process written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Physical requirements: Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds; ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, and co-workers. Regular use of telephone and email. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and fax machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business
