What part will you play?

Diversified is currently seeking a Category Management Lead for Electrical, Lighting, and Hardware to join our Procurement organization. Diversified is building out our category management function and is looking for strong team members to develop a function in a way that hasn’t been done before.Our ideal candidate works well in ambiguity, influences change, is a self-starter, and is passionate about innovation.


What will you be doing?

  • Provide sourcing category expertise within the Electrical, Lighting, and Hardware categories and experience in sub-categories such as Cameras & Lenses, Video Production Solutions, Video Signal Processing, and Contract Streaming, Storage, Retrieval
  • Partner with the business to build influence, evaluate and challenge the status quo; educate and enforce compliance to procurement policies and ensure adoption; build strong trusting relationships with business partners and suppliers
  • Implement strategies to best manage the supplier base for the category, reviewing suppliers against contracted obligations/service levels, pricing, risk requirements and business expectations; develop and execute negotiation strategies to maximize total value and minimize risks; strong understanding of contract terms and techniques for driving value and managing risks
  • Perform complex data analysis and build financial models i.e., ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, cost benefit models; execute strategic sourcing projects using common sourcing practices to deliver exceptional total value in partnership with key stakeholders across the company
  • Work with suppliers and key stakeholders to manage supplier performance and develop new capabilities; give suppliers feedback on performance, continuous improvement, and innovation; detect performance issues and determine root cause and work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to drive to an efficient resolution; develop service level agreements(SLA’s) and key performance indicators(KPI’s)
  • Support and conduct successful contract negotiations; work with legal and other areas to ensure proper representation and enforcement of critical terms and conditions
What do we require from you?
  • Minimum five years of related work experience in sourcing, supplier management, and project management
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; master’s degree from an accredited college/university is preferred
  • Experience demonstrating success in positions of increasing complexity; combination of management consulting & line role experience desired
  • Strong interpersonal, collaborative and influencing skills to effectively navigate a complex management and organization structure with a high degree of ambiguity; ability to work effectively with suppliers, project team members, project sponsors, functional leads, and senior management
  • Solid organizational, time management and project management skills; able to execute on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven analytical, financial, problem solving, organization and project management skills to include stakeholder and meeting facilitation skills; executive presence, presentation, and engagement experience
