The Opportunity - About the Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. Working on Stockland's commercial development project in Macquarie Park, you will assist in the successful delivery of this new commercial workplace.
Your initial focus will be in managing the integrated fit-out of a 10,000 sq.m commercial asset which is solely occupied by major international company.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Project and Development Managers in the delivery of quality expertise to support development teams in creating and monitoring project plans against time, cost and quality requirements.
Provide project management assistance from project inception to completion in partnership with Project and Development Managers.
Ensure projects are scoped, designed, built, and delivered on time, budget and to required quality specification.
Provide specialist project management tools, resources and advice to support large and complex projects through to completion (including design, programme, commercial, WHS, QA and contract management).
Provide specialist project management advice on key commercial/workplace design requirements such as WELL, NABERS and Greenstar (New Tool) ratings, as well as integrated and non-integrated fit-outs.
Manage and contribute to relationships with key stakeholder groups, including the contractors, consultants and approval authorities to achieve required business outcomes and in a manner that enhances the image and reputation of Stockland.
Establish partnering relationships with relevant external contractors, consultants, and suppliers to facilitate cost, value and/ or program efficiencies to Stockland.
Work closely with clients and tenants to ensure the successful delivery of integrated and non-integrated fit-outs.
Ensure project priorities are clearly established and frequently communicated with all key stakeholders.
About You
Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry experience.
Must have previous office or commercial delivery experience with a construction contractor, including knowledge of integrated and non-integrated fit-outs, and warm and cold shell concepts.
Experience managing construction teams and relevant consultants.
Experience dealing directly with clients and/or tenants.
Strong ability to lead, drive and motivate contractors and consultant to achieve program milestones.
Proven track record of achieving results through influencing and relationship skills.
Proven understanding of project management best practice, tools and techniques
Proven understanding of legal requirements and obligations in the administration of contracts.
Experience and understanding of the development construction industry including design, building and construction.
