Description

  • Newly created Group Risk Manager role reporting directly into the CRO - high visibility across the entire organisation

  • Sydney OR Brisbane location considered. Full time permanent role. $110k - $140k package depending on experience.
  • Overview of role

    Support the CRO in maintaining risk policies and procedures, as well as driving the improvement of risk maturity across the organisation. In this highly visible role, you will be the first point of contact across an array of risk matters, provide guidance on independent policies, develop, and deliver training, manage risk registers and compliance matters, and work closely with the CRO on Board reporting and enhancement of risk management across the organisation through different focus groups.

    Desired experience

  • Proven experience in Risk Advisory/Audit/Assurance/Tax/Risk & Quality, ideally from professional services or large complex organisation
  • Non-Assurance experience preferred
  • Sound working knowledge of risk management concepts and processes
  • Ability to work in a team aswell as autonomously to meet business objectives
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal, written and communication skills and attention to detail
  • Innovative mindset with ability to think the bigger picture and present new ideas to ways of doing things
  • Knowledge of the application of standards issued by the Accounting Professional and Ethical Standards Board (APESB) will be highly regarded
  • Legal background will be deemed beneficial but not mandatory
  • Open to considering someone from a compliance background looking for a blended role
