Description

We are working with a client in the Cumberland Mall area of Atlanta and they are looking for a long term temporary Procurement Specialist to fill an immediate need. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote.  This role requires 2-3 years of general procurement experience, will focus on requisitioning of contracts and SOW, processing invoices, maintaining IT records for general ledger and budgeting forecasting.  General accounting understanding and experience would be helpful as this role will code expenses.  At least an associate's degree is preferred with 2-3 years of experience.   Hunter Hamilton offers hourly/weekly pay, direct deposit, and temporary health benefits!

Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with stakeholders to manage demand and initiate procurement activities, ensuring compliance to existing process
  • Leverage specialist knowledge to deploy the purchasing process through SAP Ariba and follow up as needed with AP and partners and on Oracle platform
  • Validate consultant time reports for accurate execution of invoice payments
  • Support global vendor management team in maintaining a database on all existing IT contracts
  • Perform analysis of outstanding invoices and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Coordinate cost corrections in support of finance and accounting team where necessary
  • Manage and maintain records for all contract-related correspondence and documentation

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience with documented results in procurement, project accounting, contract negotiation, and administration
  • Experience in enterprise procurement and accounting solutions such as Oracle and SAP Ariba
  • Robust skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Basic knowledge in accounting and bookkeeping
  • Knowledge in the general workings of accounts payable and supply chain functions
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Superior organizational and task prioritization skills and knowledge in maintaining databases for timely reporting
  • Associate degree in accounting, finance and other related discipline Availability to work onsite at a minimum of three days per week as determined by manager
