Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing Heska's veterinary diagnostic business and maintaining the current business. The key objective of this position is to provide quality veterinary diagnostic (lab, imaging, etc.) leads to the sales team. In addition, this position provides excellent customer service for new and existing customers while growing Heska customer's product portfolio by adding/upgrading current products, services, and/or increase analyzer consumable utilization.

The hourly rate for this role is $28.85. This is the rate we in good faith believe is the rate of pay for this role at the time of posting. We may ultimately pay more or less and the rate may be modified in the future.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prospecting new business placements:

* Generates qualified veterinary diagnostic leads by calling on new and existing customers, completing an average of 45-60 calls per day.
* Responds to product inquires and demonstrates proficiency in all designated product offerings(s) and is seen as a knowledgeable resource in all product categories.
* Maintains tracking of all product inquires and communication with customers.
* Completes marketing campaigns and target lists, as assigned.
* Completes targeted prospecting calls to veterinary accounts, as assigned.
* Maintains and manages the account data base for targeting potential.

Maintaining current customer base:

* Maintains and expands current customer base by calling on existing accounts to discuss new product launches and/or upgrades available.
* Manages customer's veterinary diagnostic programs as assigned by discussing the benefits of our Reset Rental and warranty programs and identifying opportunities for product upgrades and/or contract extensions.
* Achieves customer call volume and consumable growth targets.
* Completes product line target list and marketing initiatives, as assigned.
* Provides superior customer service while maintaining a solution-driven approach with all customers questions and/or concerns.
* Transfers customer issues to appropriate department, as needed to ensure quality customer service.
* Effectively uses multiple software systems to service accounts. This includes, but is not limited to, Salesforce.com, RingCentral, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma required.
* Associate degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
* Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a veterinary, diagnostics, or related field is preferred.

* Strong understand of the veterinary industry and how point of care diagnostics plays a vital role in a veterinary hospital.
* Consistently displays strong organization and time management skills.
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow while managing ever-changing priorities.
* Consistently displays a strong attention to detail and high standards for quality.
* Ability to interact and work positively with a variety of people and departments.
* Intermediate ability with Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based software.
* Ability to communicate clearly on product specifics.
* Consistently displays data integrity, customer integrity and product support.
