Overview

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Sonography Technologist for the Paramus Imaging Center. Department needs a candidate that can work Varied Day shifts, including weekends

Responsibilities

Job Functions:

* Prepares patients for US exams and explains the procedure to the patients prior to exam
* Correlates the clinical history with the US exam to be performed
* Differentiates artifacts from the normal pathological processes and recognizes equipment limitations
* Maintains lists of sonographic exams performed from each patient as well as document the preliminary reading by the radiologists
* Troubleshoot problems regarding operation of equipment-notifying appropriate personnel in the event of equipment malfunction
* Communicate effectively with Manager, Assistant Manager, Leads, Physicians and other Team Members in a professional manner

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

* High school diploma or GED equivalent

Education:

* Graduate of Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program

Relevant Experience:

* 1 year of Sonography experience strongly preferred
